Gables Residential Golf Tournament Benefiting the NLEOMF
Whiskey Creek Golf Club Ijamsville, MD
Gables Residential, a leader in the management, development, acquisition and construction of luxury multi-family communities, is hosting the first Gables Residential Golf Tournament to benefit the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. The tournament, which honors officers killed in the line of duty, occurs on the seventh anniversary of the deadliest day in U.S. law enforcement history: September 11, 2001, when 72 officers were killed during the terrorist attacks. The Whiskey Creek Golf Club is a challenging and beautiful course designed by two-time U.S. Open champion Ernie Els. The course includes many different natural features including springs, streams, wetlands, rock outcroppings, pine forests and dramatic views of the Catoctin Mountains. Arts on Foot 2008
National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Visitors Center & Store
Arts on Foot is an annual celebration and showcase of the Penn Quarter neighborhood in which the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is located. The NLEOMF is participating again this year, with activities at both the Memorial (400 block of E Street, NW) and the Visitors Center & Store (400 7th Street, NW). Children and their families are invited to stop by for law enforcement arts and crafts, face painting, caricature drawings, storytelling, photos, and a Junior Forensic Scientist activity. The DC Metropolitan Police Department will be on hand to showcase its equipment and specialized resources (including K-9 and Horse Mounted units), distribute crime prevention information and complete child identification kits. Arts on Foot is produced by the Penn Quarter Neighborhood Association and the Downtown DC Business Improvement District.

19th Annual NY State FOP Police Memorial Poker Run
Start Point: Applebee's Parking Lot East Islip, NY
A day-long poker run benefiting the NLEOMF, COPS, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the Grand Lodge FOP Peace Officers Memorial. Breakfast provided at the start point, a barbeque at the finish point. Poker Run route directions given at the start point. Trophies and prizes, classic cars, displays, raffles and DJ music. Pre-register by mail by September 12; on-site registration on September 20.

Sedona/Verde Valley Police vs. Fire Charity Basketbal Game
Red Rock High School Gym 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road, Sedona, AZ
A charity basketball game pitting law enforcement officers against firefighters and paramedics in the Sedona/Verde Valley area, plus a half-time raffle. The event is designed to help raise awareness of, and funds to support, the NLEOMF and the National Foundation for Fallen Firefighters.

Motorcycle Run/Picnic to Benefit DAV (Disabled American Veterans)

Join New York's Finest and support our disabled veterans at our 2008 Motorcycle Run/Picnic. The Police Service Area #7 (PSA 7), in conjunction with the American Legion Post 1600, is proud to announce it’s annual Motorcycle Run/Picnic on September 28, 2008 benefiting the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Disabled American Veterans, is dedicated to a single purpose: Building better lives for our nation’s disabled veterans and their families. 6th Annual Trooper A.G. Cogdill Memorial Golf Tournament
Waynesville, NC Tournament begins at noon
All proceeds from the tournament go to the Haywood County Schools A.G. Cogdill Memorial Scholarship Fund. These benefits will be used to help high school graduates who wish to further their studies for a career in law enforcement.

"Race to Remember" 5K

This inaugural 5K “Race to Remember,” organized by the DC Metropolitan Police Department, is a chance to show your appreciation for the service and sacrifice of law enforcement – and enjoy a running course that takes you past some of the pillars of democracy in the Nation’s Capital. Join law enforcement officers, family members, friends and other supporters in this race benefiting the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the campaign to build the first-ever National Law Enforcement Museum. National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Golf Classic
Myrtle Beach, SC
The 9th annual National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Golf Classic is the "WORLD'S LARGEST LAW ENFORCEMENT GOLF EVENT." Any golfer -- male or female, with or without a USGA handicap -- is invited to participate. Last year's event raised $62,000, bringing the tournament's 8-year total donation to the Memorial to $316,000. The number of entries will be limited to the first 1,200 golfers who sign up.
